Every ECU, TCU, and CPC calibration we ship is developed in-house with our partner ECC, then verified on a MAHA all-wheel drive dynamometer at our Kitchener-Waterloo facility — or at ECC's HQ in Toronto for platforms that require their bench.

Central Power Control — Mercedes-Benz's master powertrain controller, standard on most Mercedes 2019+ and across the AMG range. CPC sits above ECU and TCU and arbitrates factory torque limits, drive modes, 4MATIC distribution, and launch control. Without a CPC calibration, ECU gains are throttled back by factory torque caps.

What is the difference between ECU, TCU, and CPC tunes?
ECU (Engine Control Unit) controls the engine itself — fuelling, ignition timing, boost pressure, idle, knock control. A pure ECU tune adjusts these maps to free up power the factory left on the table.
TCU (Transmission Control Unit) controls the gearbox — shift speed, gear hold under throttle, launch control, torque converter lock-up. A TCU tune sharpens shifts, holds gears longer, and lets the transmission handle the extra torque from an ECU tune.
CPC (Central Power Control) is Mercedes-Benz's master powertrain controller, now standard on most Mercedes 2019+ and across the entire AMG range. The CPC sits above the ECU and TCU and arbitrates everything: factory torque limits, drive modes (Sport / Sport+ / Race), 4MATIC torque distribution front to rear, launch control parameters, and powertrain protection logic. A pure ECU tune on a CPC-equipped Mercedes hits hard ceilings — the factory CPC reduces torque before it ever reaches the wheels, regardless of what the ECU is asking for. ECC's CPC program calibrates all three layers together so the gains from the ECU and TCU tunes actually make it to the ground.
How much power will I gain?
Depends entirely on platform, fuel grade, and hardware. Stage 1 (software only, 91 octane): typically 50-100 wheel HP on turbo platforms, 15-30 on naturally-aspirated. Stage 2-3 (software + downpipes / intake / intercooler): 100-200+ wheel HP. Full track / CPC programs with built engines: 300+ wheel HP. We give exact numbers on your platform during the consultation.
Do I need premium gas?
For Stage 1 and above on turbo platforms, yes — 93 octane minimum, or 91 if 93 isn't sold near you. We can also build E50-E85 ethanol-blend calibrations for the right hardware. Naturally-aspirated platforms typically run our Stage 1 on 91 octane.
Can you tune my car remotely?
Yes — our home-tuning software lets you flash files from your garage. We provide remote support and live data logging. For platforms that require dyno verification (CPC programs, custom hardware setups), we book you in to our Kitchener facility or coordinate at ECC's Toronto HQ.
What is the MAHA dyno?
MAHA is a German manufacturer of all-wheel-drive chassis dynamometers used by factory R&D teams and top-tier tuners. Our MAHA AWD dyno lets us run the full powertrain — including all four wheels, traction control, and ESP — under measured load, so calibrations are verified in conditions that match real-world driving, not just an engine on a bench.
How long does the tune take?
Stage 1 software-only flash: 1-2 hours at the shop. Custom dyno tune: 4-8 hours depending on platform. CPC program with hardware: 1-2 days. We give a written timeline at booking.
Can I revert the tune back to factory?
Yes. Every calibration ships with a complete revert-to-stock backup. You can restore factory software anytime — either at our facility or from your own garage using our home-tuning software.
Do you ship tunes to customers outside Kitchener-Waterloo?
Yes. We serve the entire Greater Toronto Area — Toronto, Mississauga, Oakville, Burlington, Hamilton — plus Cambridge, Guelph, Brantford, Milton, Stratford, and surrounding areas. Many clients drive in from across southern Ontario; remote tunes ship across Canada.
