Why Foreign Automotive for European Body Work
Most body shops can paint a fender. Few can correctly refinish a Ferrari Rosso Corsa, weld an aluminum BMW i8 chassis, or recalibrate the ADAS suite on a Porsche Taycan after a windshield replacement. That's the gap we fill in Kitchener-Waterloo.
Every European and exotic brand has unique requirements: PPG, Standox, and Glasurit paint systems for proper colour-match; aluminum-specific welding for BMW i-Series and Audi A8/R8; carbon fibre repair for McLaren and Lamborghini chassis; lane-keep and adaptive cruise recalibration after structural work. Our dedicated body shop facility handles every step of the body, paint, and refinish process to factory spec.
And because Foreign Automotive is also a complete mechanical shop, your car never gets passed off to a stranger after the body work is done. Alignment, suspension, drivetrain, and electronics follow-through are handled by our own master technicians — one company, one quote, one accountability chain.

Lane-keep, adaptive cruise, parking sensors, and 360° surround-view cameras recalibrated to factory spec — required after windshield, bumper, and structural repairs on modern European cars.

What Sets Us Apart
Complete body work AND complete mechanical service. Body repair, paint, refinish, AND alignment, suspension, drivetrain — all handled by Foreign Automotive. One company, one point of contact, no second-shop bookings.
Exotic-vehicle experience. We've completed collision repair on Ferrari 488s, Lamborghini Huracáns, McLaren 720s, and Aston Martin DBs. Carbon fibre, aluminum, and bespoke OEM parts.
OEM parts & correct paint systems. Factory-spec PPG, Standox, and Glasurit refinishing systems — required for proper colour-match on European vehicles. No house-brand paint passing as OEM.
ADAS calibration in-house. Modern European vehicles require post-repair calibration of cameras and sensors. Many local body shops outsource this — we don't.
Insurance-direct billing. We work with most major insurers in Ontario and handle the full paper trail for you.

The questions we hear most from owners after a collision or paint-job inquiry.
Do you work with insurance companies directly?
Yes. We work with all major Canadian insurers, including direct billing where supported. We provide accurate scope-of-work estimates, OEM parts documentation, and full paint-and-frame records for your insurance claim.
Will my repair use OEM parts?
We use factory OEM parts wherever your insurer authorizes them. For European vehicles, OEM parts are usually required to maintain your manufacturer warranty and to match factory paint codes. We document all parts on your final invoice.
How long does a collision repair take?
Minor cosmetic repair (single panel, no frame damage): 3–7 business days. Major collision (multiple panels, frame work): 2–4 weeks depending on parts availability. Exotic vehicles often take longer due to bespoke parts. We give you a written timeline at estimate.
Do you do ADAS calibration?
Yes. We recalibrate forward cameras, lane-keep, adaptive cruise control, parking sensors, and 360° surround-view systems in-house. This is required after most windshield, bumper, and structural repairs on modern European vehicles.
What's the difference between body shop work and detailing?
Body shop work is structural and refinishing repair — panel replacement, paint, frame, glass. Detailing is cosmetic — ceramic coating, PPF, paint correction, deep clean. We offer both.
Can you remove minor dings without painting?
Yes — see our paintless dent repair (PDR) page. PDR preserves your factory paint and is the right choice for hail, parking-lot dings, and minor body-line dents where the paint is intact.
Will independent body work void my factory warranty?
No. Canadian consumer protection law makes it illegal for a manufacturer to void your warranty for using an independent shop, as long as we use OEM-spec parts and follow factory procedures. We document every job to manufacturer standard so your warranty stays intact.
Do you offer rentals or loaners during a long repair?
For longer collision jobs, we coordinate with your insurer's rental program (most policies in Ontario include rental coverage). For paying customers we keep a small fleet of loaner vehicles — reserved on a first-come basis.
