What exactly is ECC software?
ECC is in-house developed ECU, TCU, and CPC calibration software covering virtually every European performance brand — Audi, BMW, Mercedes-AMG, Porsche, McLaren, Lamborghini, Ferrari, Land Rover, and others. Every tune is engineered from the ground up in Toronto, dyno-validated on a Dynojet, and delivered as Stage 1, Stage 2, or Stage 2+ Dyno (E85 / flex-fuel) files. ECC also produces Audi DSG / S-tronic TCU upgrades, CPC software for AMG platforms, and the proprietary ECC Flasher hardware (OBD and bench flash supported).
Which vehicles can I tune as an ECC Dealer?
Effectively the entire European performance market. That includes Audi (RS / S / TT RS plus DSG TCU), BMW M-Series including F90 M5 and the X-M range, Mercedes-AMG from A45 through G63 (MED17 + AMG V8 + CPC software), Porsche (911 Turbo / GT, Cayenne, Panamera, Macan, Taycan), McLaren (540C through 765LT and Artura), Lamborghini (Huracán, Urus, Aventador), Ferrari (488, F8, 296, Roma, SF90, Purosangue), Land Rover SVR / Defender V8, plus Bentley, Aston Martin, Volkswagen R, Volvo Polestar, Maserati, and other European brands. If your customer drives it and it's European, ask us — coverage is almost certain.
How does the ECC Flasher work for my customers?
The ECC Flasher supports both OBD and bench flashing — most platforms can flash directly through the OBD port from the customer's garage, while specific ECUs that require bench flashing are also fully supported. It also logs up to 30,000 variables at 20Hz so you and ECC can review real-world data without bringing the car back into the shop every time.
Do I need a dyno to become an ECC Dealer?
No — most authorized dealers don't have an in-house dyno. You can sell and install Stage 1, Stage 2, and TCU files without one. A dyno is only required if you want to offer Stage 2+ E85 custom dyno tuning yourself, otherwise that work routes through ECC or our Kitchener facility.
What kind of margin can I expect on ECC products?
Tier-based — entry-level dealers earn solid wholesale margins on Stage 1/2 software and the Flasher, and margins climb at higher volume tiers. Stage 2+ Dyno tunes and the Audi TCU upgrades are the highest-margin items in the lineup. We'll walk through exact tier numbers on your discovery call.
Is there a setup fee or annual minimum?
No setup fee to become an Authorized ECC Dealer. Higher tier pricing kicks in once you hit consistent monthly volume — we'll cover the exact thresholds on your call.
What kind of support do I get?
Direct access to Foreign Automotive's dealer team for orders, fulfillment, and warranty, plus an escalation path to ECC's calibration engineers in Toronto for custom requests, datalog reviews, and revisions.
