Can you tune my car if it is not listed online?
Possibly. Our online store shows a selection of ECC software, not every available tune. Send your year, model, engine and current modifications. We’ll confirm availability with ECC for your specific vehicle.
Do I Need ECU, TCU Or CPC Software?
ECU tuning changes the engine calibration; TCU tuning addresses the transmission controller; CPC software concerns a separate powertrain control module on applicable Mercedes vehicles. A CPC tune is not an MG1 ECU unlock. We’ll check which controllers and software options apply to your car.
What Does A Mercedes MG1 ECU Unlock Mean?
An ECU unlock enables access for compatible programming and is separate from installing an ECC tune. We carry out supported work in-house and arrange specialist mail-in unlocking when the controller requires it. Some newer locked Bosch MG1 ECUs need to be sent out before bench programming can take place. We’ll confirm the route and ECC software availability for your car.
Which Bosch MG1 Codes Are Relevant To Newer Mercedes Models?
Codes you may encounter include MG1CP002 (MRG1), MG1CP003 (MRG1 V8), MG1CP004 (MRG1PI), MG1CS100 (MRG2) and MG1CS046 (MRG3). Newer compact applications may use MG1CP777 (MRG4) or MG1CS701 (MRG5). We identify the specific ECU and software version to determine the unlock route and available ECC calibration.
Can You Check Newer C43, C63 E Performance And CLE 53 Models?
Send us the exact vehicle details for an availability check. Later C43 and C63 S E Performance applications differ from earlier V6 and V8 cars, and M139/M139l or M256-family software cannot be selected from the model badge alone. We’ll verify the engine, controller and current ECC options before recommending a tune.
Will My ECU Need A Mail-In Unlock?
Some newer locked MG1 controllers require specialist mail-in unlocking, including applicable MG1CP003, MG1CP004, MG1CS100 and MG1CS046 units. Others have different requirements. We’ll identify your ECU and explain whether removal and shipping are needed, together with the expected timing and installation plan.
How much will my tune cost?
Request a vehicle-specific quote. We’ll confirm the software price and identify any installation, unlock or supporting work required. A software product listing is not an all-inclusive installed quote.
What gains can I expect?
Results depend on the exact vehicle, software, fuel, hardware and condition. We’ll discuss the appropriate calibration and any available supporting figures for your setup. We do not promise one power figure for every vehicle.
What about warranty and intended use?
ECC describes its ECU software as intended for off-road use and sold without warranty. Ask us to confirm the applicable terms for your selected software before purchase. Do not assume that factory warranty coverage or road-use approval is preserved. Read ECC’s published tuning terms.
