Winter tire packages: what is included and how to choose
A winter tire package should make the complete setup clear: which tires and wheels fit your car, what installation includes and which extras apply. Foreign Automotive’s current packages combine four winter tires and four wheels with mounting, balancing and installation at our Kitchener workshop.
What our winter packages include
The listed package includes four tires and four wheels in the specified fitment, plus mounting, balancing and installation. The exact tire model, wheel design and availability are confirmed before ordering. Start with our winter package finder to browse your vehicle’s options.
Hardware is $75 extra per package where new hardware is required. TPMS is an optional $340 per package. These are Canadian-dollar prices before tax; neither extra should be assumed to be included in the headline price. Your advisor confirms required hardware and discusses the sensor option for your car.
Separate wheels or a seasonal tire change?
A dedicated winter wheel set lets you keep both seasonal sets assembled. That can make changeovers simpler and gives you the option to choose a suitable winter wheel design. Reusing compatible existing wheels can also be a reasonable choice; there is no universal payback period for buying another set.
Compare the purchase price, seasonal mounting costs and your storage arrangement. If you need storage, a wheel upgrade or something outside the listed package, include it in the enquiry for a separate quote.
Choose the fitment before the finish
The year, exact model, trim and brake package matter. Diameter, width, offset, load capacity and clearance all belong in the fitment check. Smaller wheels are not suitable for every car, particularly with larger brakes. Tell us about modifications and provide the current front and rear tire sizes.

Compare the exact tire options
A useful tire recommendation depends on the available specification and your driving. Tell us about highway commuting, rural routes, early starts and your priorities for the winter set. Confirm the tire make, model, size and rating rather than choosing by brand name alone.
Ask for the full installed total. Comparing a tire-only quote with a tire-and-wheel package can make the price difference misleading.
