The F48 X1 and U11 X1 use different platforms and systems. A documented F48 engine-mount concern should not be confused with the integrated-brake campaign affecting selected newer U11 cars.
F48 X1
BMW documents mount damage that can cause knocking or engine movement. [1]
Note whether the knock happens at start-up, pulling away or braking. Confirm the mount condition before replacing driveline parts.
Selected 2023–2025 U11 builds
Selected vehicles have a documented integrated-brake defect affecting brake assistance. [2] [3]
Check completion by VIN with BMW Canada. New brake warnings or a change in pedal effort require prompt attention before further driving.
F48 / U11, engine-dependent
Repeated top-ups deserve leak diagnosis. Provide the engine code and service history so the cooling circuit, pump and thermostat arrangement can be identified correctly.
