Originally founded in the United Kingdom, Thorney Motorsport built its reputation on engine-out major service, transmission rebuilds, and race-bred work for McLaren road cars. Thorney now operates as a network of specialist locations — each one a standalone outpost, each one held to the same Thorney technical standard.

Will using Thorney Motorsport void my McLaren factory warranty?
No. Canadian consumer law protects your right to service your McLaren at a qualified independent shop without voiding the factory warranty, as long as the work is done to manufacturer specification and proper records are kept. We document every service to OE service standard.
Do you do McLaren ECU and TCU upgrades?
Yes. ECU and TCU upgrades are core work for the 540C, 570S, 570GT, 600LT, 650S, 675LT, 720S, and 765LT — street, road-and-track, and full-track stages all available. Each upgrade is matched to the platform and the customer's use case, then documented and verified.
Do you do annual and major service?
Yes. Annual service (12 months / 10,000 km) and McLaren's major service intervals are our most-booked work. Performed to OE spec with full digital service documentation, using OE parts and the OE-approved fluids.
Can you rebuild a McLaren transmission (weep-hole leak, clutch pack, valve body)?
Yes — transmission rebuilds are one of our signature jobs. The McLaren SSG and 7-speed DCT weep-hole oil leak is a known platform issue, and we rebuild the unit in-house rather than replacing it.
